Steve Nash Should be Furious With the Phoenix Suns
I was watching ESPN’s NBA draft coverage this morning when the most alarming story came across the screen. The Phoenix Suns had been holding talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves about sending Steve Nash in trade for Minnesota’s number two pick.
I was furious and Nash should be as well. Anyone who has read my previous columns knows I make no bones about being a Nash homer, but even the most passive Suns fan should be appalled by this. Thankfully, talks have ended but that doesn’t unring that bell. (more…)
Michael Pietrus Picks up Player Option to Return Next Season

Just because he picked up his player option, doesn't mean Mickael Pietrus will be back in Phoenix next season. (Photo Courtesy of AnacondaHL, Flickr)
To surprise of no one within the Suns organization, forward Mickael Pietrus picked up his $5.3 million player option to return next season. Pietrus was of the deal with that Magic that brought Marcin Gortat and Vince Carter over to Phoenix.

Phoenix Suns Have Long Odds to Win Tonight’s Draft Lottery

In recent years, Phoenix has drafted guys like Luol Deng, Andre Iguodala and Rajon Rondo, only to sell them off to their now respective team for cash considerations. (more…)
NBA Playoffs: Predicting The First Round
The Suns are already looking toward next season, but more than half of the NBA will be playing games this weekend to fight to play well into June for a chance at a NBA championship. I am going to look at each first round series and give my thoughts and predictions for each. Don’t hold me to these predictions when these series are over. I am no Nostradamus after all.
Marcin Gortat – The Double-Double Machine
Just a day after writing a piece about the struggles of Robin Lopez, I figured it would be best and only fair to write a piece on his replacement to the starting lineup, Marcin Gortat. After, I am still a journalist at heart.
Ever since he came over from Orlando as part of the Jason Richardson, Gortat has been everything and more for the Suns. If you asked any member of the organization, not a single member would have told you that the Polish Hammer was going to be this good, this quickly, after spending most of his time with the Magic riding the bench.
