It is never easy to watch the playoffs with the Suns not participating in them. Despite the Suns missing the postseason for the second time in three seasons, there have been a lot for Phoenix fans to enjoy over the last couple of months of postseason play.
Of course, the early exits by the hated Spurs and the Lakers are at the top of the list. It always hurts whenever the Suns miss out on a postseason chance, but it stings a little less when the fans of those teams suffer. God knows they have provided us Suns fans enough suffering over recent years. (more…)
NBA Playoffs: Predicting The First Round
The Suns are already looking toward next season, but more than half of the NBA will be playing games this weekend to fight to play well into June for a chance at a NBA championship. They were playing against New Orleans that was without their starting power forward in David West for the remainder of the season. The Suns had control of the game for most of the night, but fell apart down the stretch without Marcin Gortat, Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus and essentially Robin Lopez. (more…)
Aaron Brooks, Bench Step up in Phoenix Suns Victory
It wasn’t easy to watch at times, but the Phoenix Suns found a way to hold on for a 114-106 win against the Toronto Raptors in yet another must win game for the Suns playoff push.
The Suns were shorthanded the entire night with Grant Hill and Mickael Pietrus playing a total of only eight minutes because of Hill’s flu-like symptoms and Pietrus injuring his knee early in the game. Alvin Gentry also had Steve Nash, Channing Frye and Vince Carter limited throughout the game after playing big minutes last night in Los Angeles, but the home team still found away to pull it out.
