Despite the draft being less than 48 hours away, talk continues to be around Steve Nash’s future in a Suns uniform.
According to the New York Post’s Marc Berman, the Knicks are having discussions to bring the Suns point guard over to the Big Apple. In an article that was posted today on the Post’s web site, Berman discussed a trade that simply would be a swap of Nash for Chauncey Billups, who was part of the Carmelo Anthony deal late last season. Vince Carter Won’t be Traded on Draft Day
Vince Carter won’t be used as trade bait when the draft takes place on Thursday night, according to Suns beat writer Paul Coro over at the Arizona Republic. Coro said that Phoenix would instead buy out the shooting guard for $4 million within the next couple of days.
Coro’s announcement of this decision will come as no surprise to any Suns fan. It has been a slam dunk since the season ended that Carter won’t be back in a Suns uniform for the 2010/2011 season because of his age and how much Phoenix is saving by not bring him back. His point and rebounding totals were some of the lowest of his entire eight-year NBA career. Things only got worse for Pietrus when he missed the final 12 games of the regular season due a quadriceps injury. (more…)
Klay Thompson, Jordan Hamilton Very Likely Possibilities for Phoenix Suns at 13

Why the Phoenix Suns Should Trade up in the NBA Draft?
The NBA draft is a couple weeks away and with the impending arrival of point guard Ricky Rubio, the Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping the second pick in the draft. Minnesota already has Jonny Flynn, Wayne Ellington, Sebastian Telfair and Luke Ridnour as guards so they will be looking to add talent at other positions and probably deal a guard or two.
Of course, every team behind them will be looking to move up and the Suns will be one of the teams looking to make a deal. The 13th pick is the only pick the Suns have in this draft so why not try to move up and get that impact player now. The question is who should the Suns go after? Here are my top five suggestions.
